Jason & Maggi Harral

Career Missionaries from 2011 to 2016, serving the Otammari people of Benin.

In Benin we join a project that AFM has been involved in for over ten years. We are focusing on learning the Ditammari language, and then working with local church leaders to write material that can be used for evangelizing the Otammari people. After training local lay people to use the material, we plan to seek to help to integrate the Otammari churches we will be involved in into the larger SDA church.

A Hole in Our Project

Our Field Director

Looking Beninese

“Oh, I thought you had been here a lot longer!” she said. “And who taught you to wear pagnes (pahn-yas)?” Pagnes are the wrap-around skirts (or pieces of fabric, rather) that most women in Benin wear. Feeling a bit insecure, I asked her if I was doing it right. “Yes, yes!” she exclaimed. “You look Beninese!”

Visa Evangelism

““Adventist!“” the immigration officer said before I could, his face lighted up with recognition.
