At Last!

“They’re here!” Susan Payne said excitedly when I answered the phone. We have been waiting many months for our visas and work permit to be approved so that we can launch to Papua New Guinea. Our passports just came back from the PNG embassy with bright yellow visas inside! We are now officially able to go and begin our mission work.

Now we’re in a mad dash of ordering what we need to bring with us to run the mission project, packing clothing, tools and everything else into shipping crates, and visiting family for the last time before heading off. By the time you read this, we hope to be only days away from launching, or possibly already in PNG.

God has been with us every step of the way through our preparation time, and we know that He will continue to bless and guide us as we move forward with this momentous step. This past year has been one of learning to trust Him more deeply, resting in the knowledge that the Omnipotent God of the universe cares about each of us, and that His ways are far better than we can imagine.
Please keep us in prayer as we arrive in PNG and settle in. We eagerly look forward to joining David and Edie Hicks, and together working to introduce the Ama and surrounding tribes to the loving Savior, Jesus Christ.
