“I love Jesus.”

These are musical words to a missionary, and they rang in my ears one recent Sabbath morning. A young man I’ll call Timothy came to our house asking for English lessons. As we discussed an agreeable time to study together, he shared that he loved Jesus. A missionary had given him a New Testament, and he was very excited. We agreed that he would return Sunday morning to study English.

In our first class together, Timothy opened up more about his love for Jesus, confiding that he wants to “enter Jesus,” that is, become a Christian.

The Holy Spirit is obviously working in Timothy’s heart. We are just beginning his story. Please pray that the Lord will continue to work in his life and give us wisdom to help Timothy enter Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
