“Please buckle your seatbelts and make sure your seatback is in an upright position.”

So came the welcome words of the stewardess. We were on the plane to visit our friends and family after nearly five years since our last visit. In my mind, I could picture surprising my parents and the warm greetings I knew we were about to experience at our homecoming. After a few weeks of preparations to leave, we would soon be in a different world, and our family would be reunited. It seemed so surreal.

Every time we fly home on furlough, I imagine what it will be like when we go to Heaven. Our anticipation and desire to see Jesus is great. In my mind, I can picture the warm welcome that will be waiting for us. Still, I know there is still much work to do in sharing the gospel with the rest of the world in preparation for this grand trip. All His followers will be in a whirlwind of activity to finish this work, but then we will be on our way Home. We will be in a totally different world, and there will be the most incredible reunion with our spiritual family. Please join us in taking the gospel to the far edges of the world so we can invite many more to join us on our trip Home. We will be departing soon!
